Buchaneer
Custom–built, Buchaneer is a safe, all-weather, 8.5m rigid-hulled, inflatable boat (RHIB) with seats for 12 people. Buchaneer carries a single 250HP outboard engine (plus reserve engine) able to reach speeds of over 30miles per hour even in rough seas.

The boat is fully insured, equipped and certified to meet the stringent safety requirements of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Lifejackets, full waterproofs and hats are provided but bring warm clothing and footwear as it gets cold out on the water even on a warm day.

Your Skippers
Skippers Dean, Claire and Ian are all commercially qualified to RYA/MCA standards and between them have a wealth of knowledge of marine wildlife, as well as qualifications in SCUBA diving and RYA instruction.

All the skippers operate in accordance with the WiSe (Wildlife Safe) code of conduct and the Dolphin Space Programme, and are aware of their responsibility to the marine environment.

Dean teaches the powerboat courses (Level 1, 2 and Advanced) at the Quayside facilities at Banff Marina and on Buchaneer.
